Sorrow
My pain. My sorrow.
Meshed in droplets of tears
Within the universe
Where billions of pain and suffering circle.
And dance in floating swirls of sparkling dust
Like little fairies in flight.
Alone in my suffering.
Flight of the stars envelop me
For they feel my pain.
It was rememberance of their pain and suffering.
I find I am not alone. I lift my soul to the stars
and the dancing swirls of dust rejoice in my awakening.
I am no longer afraid.

Where Am I?
Hello again, bloggers.
The blogosphere is a place where a sea of endless strangers connect. A fleeing glimpse of another's life and then on to the next. Faceless, and totally anonymous. It works for those who are shy. Those are disenfranchised.
I am a shadow and you are too. I realized a long time ago that we are just specks of light within endless billions of lights. When we leave this earth, our light will return to THE LIGHT of consciousness and being.
Okay, that's enough philosophical psycho-babble. Until next time, shadows.

A day in the life of...
Feb. 27
To write. To write. To not write? I really don't have a choice since writing is my bread and butter. There are some days where I would tackle my job with vigor and joy! Look at me! I'm a reporter! No, I'm a journalist! *chuckle*
No, I'm just me. I enjoy my job, I really do. I work with a great team of reporters. My editor-in-chief is an affable man who understands the drama of women, it seems. Which is good for me, since I don't have very much patience for the kind of drama that happens outside the workplace, but somehow, has worked its way into the newsroom.
I'm learning p.a.t.i.e.n.c.e. Whew! That was hard.
I'll be posting stories that appear in the Marianas Variety that deal with the Guam military buildup. I hope you enjoy reading them as well as find them educational.
Biba Guam! Biba Chamorro!

I'm back
Feb. 25, 2011
After a nine year hiatus from my previous blog, mysticwanderer.blogspot.com, I've decided to begin again. I've named my blog, "I am the Hermit," which was the name of my previous blog. I like the fact that after all these years, I still enjoy being alone, listening to contemporary music or my much loved classical music.
I look back and read what I've written on my old blog and a sense of nostalgia overwhelms me. I did some of my best and original pieces on that old blog! It's still up, so please, visit it to get some insights of what I was thinking and experiencing those many years ago.
I still enjoy sitting at cup and saucer, having a calorie-laden confection, and enjoying the piped-in music.
I hope to share local information about my beautiful island of Guam with you and of course, my own opinions on issues affecting my island. I write poetry, so you'll get a glimpse of passions that I hide from people, but manage to come out in my poetry.
By profession, I am the chief reporter for a local newspaper, the Marianas Variety. I love my job.
Until next time,
Therese
